Review of Punta Arenas’ 14-hour whale, penguin, and glacier cruise, with route details, food notes, seasickness advice, and value tips.

“It is not often we tell ourselves that an excursion is worth the cost DURING the excursion. You meet the bus near the center of punta arenas. The transport and boat were very nice, well staffed, bilingual, and other than the coffee being a bit too sweet we had no complaints. We had a perfect weather day and saw waterfalls, glaciers, lots of humpback whales, seal lions and penguins. The glacier ice whisky was an awesome touch (even watching the crew capture mini-icebergs off the glacier was fun). Everyone enjoyed this outing thoroughly. Highly recommend this excursion—one of our favorite ones ever!”

“The hike to the boat was very nice. the guides/crew were very motivated, friendly and knowledgeable. We had sufficient time on the boat and we floated at different angles so everyone could see the Glacier clearly and take pictures. the glacier is beuatifull and the view of the Torres del Paine was breathtaking. It was my wifes birthday and the crew did a happy birthday song for her, giving us our personal high point of the trip. Thank you crew.”

Review of the 14-hour Perito Moreno Glacier trip from Puerto Natales, with border tips, costs, guide details, transport, and honest value advice.

“The information about the tour states that the guide is bilingual in English and Spanish. They do not tell you that the guide is only with you for about 2 hours out of the 16. The driver who is with you all day does not speak English. Any information he gave during the trip we did not understand. We had to go through an immigration checkpoint, fill out paperwork for immigration and figure out what time we had to be back to the bus during the 4 stops. Luckily there was one person on the bus who spoke English and he was very helpful. The bilingual guide was picked up…”
